This historic property was built around 1790-1810 and has recently had extensive renovations in compliance with the strictest guidelines provided by the U.S. Department of Natural Resources. The award-winning restoration retained the character and period features of the home while upgrading the facilities to include a state-of-the-art kitchen, luxurious bathrooms and a Sony home theater and stereo system.
Although the property lay abandoned for over 10 years, many original features survived. The heart pine floors, curving staircase, plaster ceiling medallions, bead board wainscoting and fireplace mantles were all restored to their former glory.
