What to Expect at One of the Biggest Savannah GA Fall Events
After an overwhelmingly successful inaugural event in 2013, the Savannah Food & Wine Festival is now destined to be an annual event, attracting many visitors to the city in mid-November.
The event takes place in Ellis Square and Johnson Square, and along the riverfront as well, gracing many historic homes and other locations for individual events. Savannah is well-known for presenting first-class gourmet cuisine, so not surprisingly the festival will showcase many top local chefs. They will be in good company with other special guests such as Jay Swift (Georgia Restaurant Association Restaurateur of the Year 2014) and Katie Button (Finalist James Beard Chef Foundation Award 2014).
Throughout the festival there will be a series of Master Classes for would-be chefs to polish up their techniques, tutored by award-winning chefs such as Nico Romo from Charleston’s “Fish” restaurant.
As well as many ticketed events and demonstrations, the 2014 Savannah Food & Wine Festival attracts many high profile vendors selling not only food and wine but also retail products associated with the festival theme.
