Spring events season is in full swing in Savannah! There’s plenty to do in April and May starting with the Savannah Music Festival March 28 – April 13, 2019. Now in its 30th season, visitors can enjoy performances by numerous artists and composers. Savannah Music Festival is Georgia’s largest musical arts event and one of the most distinctive cross-genre music festivals in the world.
If music isn’t your thing, Savannah Comic Con kicks off April 6 – 7 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. Daily passes start at just $15.
If you’re visiting for the first time, you can book Savannah’s newest trolley tour, “Savannah for Morons” which takes a comedic approach to Savannah’s history. Operating on Fridays and Saturdays only, each tour is approximately 90 minutes in length and is intended for audiences 13+.
The Earth Day Festival is being held on Saturday, April 20th in Daffin Park beneath Savannah’s mighty Oaks. They’ll be conservation workshops, fashion shows, storytelling, entertainment and much more!
Tybee Wine Festival returns April 25 – 27 to Tybee Island where attendees can sip international wines and sample fresh coastal seafood and other culinary delights. Now in its 11th year, the Tybee Wine Festival will feature three uniquely different, wine and food experiences, combined with live musical performances.
If you’re in visiting for the Tybee Wine Festival, come show your support to fine a cure for breast cancer and participate in the 2019 Savannah Race for Cure on Saturday April 27th.
In addition to these events, there’s also the weekly Farmers Market at Forsyth Park on Saturdays from 9 AM – 1 PM, as well as the Early Bird Preservation Walking Tour, on Saturday mornings throughout April where visitors can explore the preservation history of Savannah’s East Side.
