From candlelit dining rooms and original fireplaces to gracious hospitality and beautifully prepared Lowcountry dishes, every meal feels like stepping into Savannah’s rich history.
Whether you’re visiting Savannah for the first time or returning for another memorable getaway, The Olde Pink House remains one of the city’s quintessential dining experiences.
Why We Recommend It
The Olde Pink House offers more than dinner—it offers one of Savannah’s signature experiences. Guests consistently praise the restaurant’s unique atmosphere, attentive service, and beautifully preserved historic interiors that make every meal feel special.
We recommend it for anyone wanting to experience classic Southern cuisine in one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It’s especially popular for anniversaries, birthdays, and first visits to Savannah.
History
Built in 1771 by James Habersham Jr., The Olde Pink House is one of Savannah’s oldest surviving mansions. Originally constructed as a private residence, the home later served numerous purposes throughout its long history before becoming one of Savannah’s most celebrated restaurants.
Today, the beautifully restored mansion preserves its original architectural character while welcoming guests into multiple elegant dining rooms that reflect more than two centuries of Savannah history.
What We Like
Every room tells a story. Rather than one large dining room, guests dine throughout the historic mansion in intimate spaces filled with antique furnishings, fireplaces, original woodwork, and timeless Southern elegance.
We also appreciate the consistency. The Olde Pink House has become a Savannah institution because it continues to pair exceptional hospitality with classic Southern cuisine that appeals to both first-time visitors and longtime locals.
