Amazing acccomodations
Reviewed on 2023-05-15 by Nancy V. , Dayton, OH USWe had 9 women from our book club gather together for a long weekend and couldn’t have been more pleased with our accommodations! Plenty of room, great location to walk to all the best shopping, eating, and sight seeing savannah could offer. We read a book about the opening of the Grey Restaurant which enticed us to Savannah. Thank you so much for your hospitality. All agree we would live to visit again. Definitely luxury living!!
Fantastic experience
Reviewed on 2023-04-05 by , Wilmington, NC United StatesThe Metropolitan is in the perfect location and the space itself was fantastic for our group. We were a party of 10 adults and there was plenty of room for us. The main loft area is huge- the ideal place for us all to be together- watch tv, play games and hang out. The kitchen has up to date, high end appliances all clean and in great condition. Bedrooms are all comfortable with luxury sheets, bathrooms have plenty of soft towels and the office/game room/ den areas gave us the option for privacy to get some remote work done when needed. The only other comment I’d make is in regard to the 2 bedrooms with the jack & jill bathroom between them... if traveling with kids I’d recommend that they sleep in those. It’s sort of like being in a college dorm room or at sleep away camp. Because of the way those two rooms are designed there is some visual privacy but no sound privacy at all. I chose to stay in one and had one of sons and daughter-in-law in the other. At bedtime we were all giggling when saying/whispering good night.
Thank you Suzanne for bringing this property to my attention and helping me to create beautiful memories with my family for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration!
Suzanne was wonderful to deal with before, during and after our stay at the Metropolitan. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable; each request I had whether it was for information or early arrival, she went above and beyond.
The Metropolitan is in the perfect location and the space itself was fantastic for our group. This is a beautiful and big loft! It is in the perfect location. Easy walking distance to River Street. We stayed here for St. Paddy”s day weekend and had a perfect front row seat for the parade right from the loft.
The management company was very responsive to inquiries. You want to stay here!

WEEKNIGHT DISCOUNTS! Manhattan-style loft for families & corporate travelers!

ASK ABOUT OUR WEEK-NIGHT DISCOUNT - Monday through Thursday nights! (excludes holidays)
At 5,000 square feet, The Metropolitan Loft embodies a true Manhattan-style loft experience with exposed beams, spacious windows & structural columns. Guests will enter off the street into a glam foyer, up a flight of stairs into the enormous living space.
Center stage is the floating kitchen with custom oyster shell quartz countertops, Miele, Sub Zero & Wolf appliances. Behind the kitchen is an office/pantry area with built in desk & cabinets stocked for cooking or entertaining.
The living room is lux, velvety and sprawling and curated with comfort in mind. Originally designed by Phoebe Howard for former owner/developer Ben Carter; she chose mid century Italian armchairs, a Danish rosewood console with midnight blue velvets that soften the minimalistic lines.
Flanking the living room on either side you find the dining area that seat 8-10 and a private library with comfy seating and a desk for remote working. The library includes books about art and history and dozen or so, board games for some fun brain food.
From the main living space, there are hallways on both sides that lead to bedrooms. On the right hallway, first is The Green Room with a queen size bed, closet and wall mounted tv. An elegant marble-tiled full-bathroom is across the hall.
Next is The Master Suite with huge walk-in closet and a dreamy en suite bathroom. The Master bed is a king size with sofa seating & wall mounted TV. Note the hardwood floors were hand painted by local artist, Bob Christian in a dynamic geometric pattern with soothing hues of creams and blues. This leads to the divine master bath with a soaking tub and spacious walk-in shower.
On the left side of the loft down the other hallway, you will find The Brick Bedroom, with exposed brick wall and king sized bed, smart TV and en suite bathroom. This blue bathing beauty has a walk-in shower.
The laundry room is hidden behind gorgeous, vintage double doors. Aside from the usual washer & dryer, there is an EXTRA full sized fridge and a chest freezer!
Next you find the Jack 'n Jill bedrooms with sliding "barn doors". On the left is Jill's Room with a full size bed & TV. Sliding pocket doors lead into the Jack 'n Jill bathroom that features a large shower/tub combo. Jack's room is on the other side with a king size bed & TV. **NOTE: These bedrooms do not have doors to close off the bedrooms from each other; although the bathroom is large and in between the bedrooms, it fills the middle space nicely.
NOTES:
NO BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTIES or groups. NO exceptions.
TVs:
All TVs are new & ready to stream. We do NOT have cable.
GARAGE:
We have a private, SINGLE car garage for your use. This garage is VERY TIGHT, so oversized vehicles may be problematic.
There is no elevator or connection from the garage to the loft. The old freight elevator door is still in place but there is no elevator. Please don't leave a bad review because there is no elevator service or that you must walk from garage to the loft entrance. The garage is a bonus in a part of town where parking is difficult to find!
PARKING FOR ADDITIONAL VEHICLES:
All of downtown has metered street parking. The City of Savannah uses Meter Pay Stations on each block. You can download the phone APP "Park Savannah" to pay meters from your phone
OR
The Lincoln Street Parking Garage is one block over
OR
Visitor Parking Day Passes are available for 24/48 hours.
Contact THE CITY OF SAVANNAH PARKING SERVICES DEPT for parking info.
OCCUPANCY: We have a maximum capacity of 10 people (including children/infants) at ANY TIME, no exceptions.
NOISE: This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do not allow loud noise, music or parties of any sort.
NO refunds for any reason including, but not limited to illness, death in the family, event cancellation, weather, hurricane, or airline issues. Therefore, we STRONGLY recommend purchasing "CANCEL FOR ANY REASON" TRAVEL INSURANCE.
