While the summer can sometimes be a little too hot and humid in Savannah, the 4th of July remains a favorite holiday in the area. Enjoy a variety of firework celebrations (as well as a little red, white, and blue) in Savannah and Tybee Island!
Fort McAllister Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration - July 1-4, 2023 - Fort McAllister State Park
Thi old-fashioned celebration is like stepping back to 1864! Enjoy living history demonstrations including musket and artillery demos.
Savannah's Waterfront Independence Day - July 4, 2023 - Rousakis Riverfront Plaza
Savannah’s Waterfront hosts one of the best 4th of July celebrations and fireworks shows in the area. Located on River Street, the event is free, open to the public, and features the 3rd Infantry Division Bands, dinner and drink specials at many waterfront restaurants, and the annual Fireworks Show beginning at 9:15pm.
Fourth of July Fireworks on the Tybee Island Pier, July 1-4, 2023 - Tybee Island Pier
This is the best Independence Day celebration on Tybee Island. The Fourth of July Bash lasts from July 1-4 with different activities scheduled at the Tybee Island Pier for each day. July 1 features a concert by Trea Landon, the 2nd & 3rd both offer all day Beach parties, and it all culminates with the fireworks show on July 4th. The display is viewable from any of the eastern beaches.
Savannah Stars & Stripes July 4th Weekend Celebration - June 30, 2023 – July 4, 2023 - Plant Riverside District
Plant Riverside District hosts the party of the summer from Friday, June 30 through Tuesday, July 4. The event offers a variety of free live music and family-friendly activities each day. Highlights include live military bands; food and drink specials; red, white and blue t-shirt dying; and a great view of the annual Waterfront Independence Day Fireworks Show.
Patriotic Big Band Salute - July 4, 2023 - The Park at Eastern Wharf
This free riverfront concert features a performance by the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra. Enjoy the swingin’ “Sound of Savannah” and classics ranging from Ray Charles, Neal Diamond, and Count Basie set to the fireworks.
Red, White, and Boots! - July 8, 2023 -The Clyde Venue
Shindigs presents: Red, White, and Boots! The evening offers live music, Texas two-step and line dancing, food, drinks, games, and raffles. The event honors America's service members and is a fundraiser for Combat Boots 2 the Boardroom.
