Tucked away behind the historic Washington Square House is the beautiful Washington Square Carriage House. The charming free-standing Savannah vacation rental has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths to accommodate up to 4 guests.

Centrally located in Savannah’s Historic District, Washington Square Carriage House is just two blocks from the attractions and restaurants on River Street.  Washington Square was named after America’s President George Washington and is on Houston Street, close to the site of the old Trustees Garden.

The Carriage House that stands on the property today was architecturally designed to be an exact replica for the original carriage house on the property in 1790 through extensive researched from Savannah historical records.  It has been sympathetically furnished in keeping with its period history. However, it has all the comforts of the 21st century with a fully fitted gourmet kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and central island, providing dining for up to 6 guests.

The living area is comfortably furnished including a TV. The Carriage House is tastefully decorated throughout in warm shades with wrought iron lighting fixtures and draped window dressings in keeping with the period of the property.

The property overlooks a delightful courtyard area complete with fountain and shady arbor. Guests also have use of garage parking for one car.

The Washington Square Carriage House stands in the grounds of Washington Square House, with its own private entrance. The Great Room provides a comfortable open-plan living area with TV.

The gourmet kitchen has quality custom built cabinetry with a central island dining area. Fully equipped, it has quality stainless steel appliances including an oven range, dishwasher and microwave.

Guests have access to the delightful courtyard area outside which is furnished with tables and chairs and has a cascade fountain water feature.
