Nobody does Oktoberfest quite like Savannah. All the food and drink establishments on historic River Street make it the perfect backdrop for German food, a variety of beers, and live entertainment. This 3 day festival kicks off October 5 – 7, 2018 and has been dubbed Savannah’s party of the fall.
Take part in the fun with a sausage eating contest, wiener dog races, and chicken dances. There will be live entertainment all weekend long on the Arbor Stage and regional arts and crafts vendors will exhibit.
This event is not only fun, but it’s supporting two equally worthy causes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes and the Savannah Humane Society.
Oktoberfest is free to attend. So mark your calendars, pack your lederhosen out, and get ready to spend a weekend eating bratwursts, giant pretzels, and drinking fine German bier.
Come to Savannah for Oktoberfest, but while you’re here, be sure not to miss out on the other great attractions in Savannah including a day trip over to neighboring Tybee Island hosting the 2018 Pirate Fest October 4 – 6th.
